Bar wants right to block men

Can you say sick?

Bar wants right to block men | BALANCING ACT | Breaking News 24/7 - NEWS.com.au (21-06-2005): "AN inner-city bar in Melbourne wants its staff to have the right to refuse entry to men when they outnumber women.
The owners of Chaise Lounge, in Queen St, have applied for an Equal Opportunity Act exemption, allowing the venue to enforce a strict 50/50 male and female ratio.
If successful, the basement bar could knock back patrons on the basis of their gender.
The exemption application comes after a Melbourne man sued the trendy bar last year, claiming he was discriminated against when refused entry."
